The Columbia Dogs-on-the-Go Meetup gives dogs and their human friends a chance to explore dog-friendly Howard County and nearby areas. It's for those of us who love to get out and do fun things with our dogs!
We do easy walks--about 2 miles round-trip--and whenever possible, include a local dog-friendly bakery ("Paws-n-Pastries"!), ice cream shop, cafe, or pub. And thanks to our creative and energetic members, we've added indoor play groups and things like a Halloween party, ghost tour of Ellicott City, a walk through the Symphony of Lights, photo sessions with Santa, dog beach trips, nursing home visits and more! Who knows what else is in store!
Most events are free or low-cost. Some are fundraisers (for shelters and other non-profits) and some are community service (Pets on Wheels).
And all dogs are welcome--small, medium or large!
