Columbia Dogs on the Go has formed a Packto raise funds for the Maryland SPCA's annual March for the Animals, a 1.5-mile walk-a-thon for needy and homeless animals. The date is Sunday, April 18 at Druid Hill Park in Baltimore.
We have a goal of $500, and you can help us get there in one of two ways:
1. Join the Pack! Come out and walk with the CDOG Pack! All you need to do is raise and donate a minimum of $40. You will get a t-shirt, doggie bandana, goody bag, photo of our group, and a chance to participate in a lot of fun-sounding activities. To join, go to our CDOG Pack page on the SPCA site: www.marchfortheanimals.kintera.org/CDOG and click on "Join Our Pack." We need to have a minimum of 4 walkers (maximum is 25).
OR
2. Make a Donation! If you can't join us for the walk, please make a donation in any amount. Go to the CDOG Pack page on the SPCA site and click on the tab that says "General Pack Donation." Every bit will help us reach the goal!
This will be a lot of fun and for such a good cause! The Maryland SPCA is one of the country's oldest animal welfare organizations--helping to protect animals since 1869. It operates an adoption center that places more than 3500 pets a year into loving, new homes. The SPCA is a local nonprofit and receives no government funding or operating money from national animal welfare organizations. So it's critical to raise funds from events like this.
Please share this announement with other animal lovers, and ask them to donate on behalf of the CDOG Pack! You can create your own fundraising page on the SPCA site and have them donate through you.
