Harley is planning on pulling me around Sewells Orchard Monday evening and we'd like some company.
Any pups out there up for a Monday night jog?
For those of you not familiar with this route, it's 1.5 miles around a quiet pond at Sewell’s Orchard Park. It starts on Dobbin Road across from Blockbuster and follows a paved path through pine woods and a field, before circling the pond.
There are plenty of benches and a few garbage cans along the way (these will come in handy if anyone has a serial running pooper like Harley).
We'll work out a friendly "pack" pace based on the turnout. Be sure to wear sneakers appropriate for running.
Remember to bring water for during the run if your dog needs it - we'll have extra water and bowls for the dogs to share immediately after.
Afterwards we can head over to Pub Dog (1 minute drive) with the pups and enjoy a drink/bite on the outdoor patio if there's interest. They're dog friendly and will bring out water bowls for our furry friends.
DIRECTIONS
We’ll start the run at the parking lot of the Columbia Business Center, Building 6420. The Google map is not very clear for this one, but the parking lot is directly across from the Blockbuster and Benjamin Moore Paints at 6505 Dobbin Road. It’s in the same general area as the Motor Vehicle Department express center, if that helps. However, as you turn in at the light, you’ll go toward the office buildings on your right and park close to Dobbin Road. Look for the gathering of dogs!
We hope to see you there!
