I just read about this in yesterday's weekly Laurel Leader Newspaper.
The city will sponsor Laurel's first dog show, Dog Days of Summer Talent and Beauty Show, on Sunday, Sept. 13, at 2 p.m.,at McCullough Field, Eighth and Montgomery streets.
In addition to judging, the day will include a blessing of the dogs, police dog skills demonstrations a gift basket raffle and games.
Prizes will be awarded for best dressed, best hair, tallest, shortest, best trick, best attitude, cutest, least cutest and for those dogs that look most like their owner and those dogs that look least like their owner.
All dogs must be leashed and have current vaccines.
And after we're done seeing everything at this event...let's head over to the nearby Laurel Dog Park for some time to romp and run!
Here is a link to the location of the park: Dog Park Location
You CAN NOT see the dog park from Van Dusen Road. You must turn on to Alan Drive before seeing the dog park.
If you can't make it to the McCullough Field events at 2:00 PM, feel free to join us at the dog park a few hours later.
Here is a link to a previous meetup we had at the Laurel Dog Park. It should give you any additional information you might need.
