Fall Fest Party

This location is shown only to members

Elaine--ably assisted by her dog Alex--has offered to host a fall doggie party gathering at her house! She has a wonderful old Howard County property with beautiful grounds--complete with its own cemetery. It's located in the Kings Contrivance neighborhood, near the Dickinson Pool. (I'll send out specific instructions before the party to those who reply "yes.") The outdoor area is large but not fenced in, so you will need to make sure that dogs aren't likely to roam. It is set quite far back from the streets--which are quiet.

We'll have refreshments, prizes and games, and welcome all offers of help. Please let us know if you can volunteer to help with:

  • Refreshments (bring cookies, chips, cider, napkins, etc.)
  • Set up and clean up
  • Organizing games
  • Anything you’d like to suggest to add to the fun!

Is there a place to get directions to Elaine's house? I do not want to be scrambling to get them as I am walking out the door on Saturday. It would be SOO greatly appreciated!

Looking forward to it. I am bringing cookies and popcorn. I can help with set-up and/or clean-up. Vicki

That was so much fun! And in such an elegant setting. Thanks, Elaine, for sharing your lovely grounds with us. The dogs had a blast!

Big THANK YOU to our hosts! Lots of room for off-leash play and shelter on the porch for refreshments plus our host shared interesting historic information about the mansion and the grounds. A+ event!

Even though I arrived late and Jade was afraid of the other dogs, it was a great experience for both of us. The setting couldn't be better, the participants were all wonderful. Jade was less fearful than I expected and she got through it without a freakout so I see it as a big win. I am looking forward to attending more activities and increasing her comfort level. Vicki

I enjoyed my first time meeting the Columbia dogs on the go. Mary and Richard made everybody feel welcome and it was so much fun talking with different people and their dogs. My Sam behaved pretty well, so I was relieved about that. Once again, thank you for organising this and see you next time
