Hi, My name is Betty Gardner. I am active in agility, flybal and canine nose work with my Smooth Fox Terrier. I am also active in Doberman Pinscher Rescue with the Doberman Assistance, Rescue & Education group for MD, VA, DC and eastern W.VA. (DAR&E)
My SFTs name is Caijan. I also have a Doberman Pinscher named Denver. Both were rescued by me. I am currently fostering another Doberman named Diana.
Caijan is 8 years old. Denver is 10 years old. Diana is also around 8 years old.
Denver is just my favorite buddy at this time. Due to his advancing age and physical health problems, I don't participate with him in sports any more. However, he does love going for short, easy walks and he simply LOVES people! Caijan is my current competition dog. She has several titles in agility and a few in flyball. She has passed her ORT...Odor Recognition Test....for Birch in Nose Work but we havn't started to compete yet. Diana is my foster dog and may become a permanent, hospice foster due to her severe allergies! I would like to try some of these hikes with either Caijan or Diana....both as exercise for myself and for the dogs AND as socialization for the foster dog. I joined the hiking group of Central Md. however, most of their hikes are up in Baltimore Co. and a bit of a drive for me from my home in Severn. I am closer to the Columbia/Ellicott City area so I am hoping that these hikes will be more accessible for me.

I am new to this group. I have not attended my first hike yet. I chose this group to join because their hikes are closer to my home in Severn.

Hi Betty! Glad you joined us!
Welcome Betty, we hope to see you on the trail soon.
Hi Betty, I was hoping you could tell me a bit about the nose work that you do, and where the classes are located. Thanks and welcome to the group!
