I posted this earlier and didn't hear back from any of the people who voiced interest earlier. I am still planning to go but if I don't hear from anyone I may adjust the time call me if you want to go @ 10 am to McKeldin area of Patapsco for an easy hike. Jessica 410.549.3820
I am not a strenuous hiker and it's a trail rated for all ages. I usually get side tracked but this time I am going to complete the circuit and would love company. Probably 10 o'clock if that suits. BTW-I think they are particular re dogs being leashed here - I have not seen any off lead. Switchback Trail (4 miles) This trail begins by the contact station at the top of the hill near the entrance to the park. Hikers of all ages, mountain bikers and equestrians will enjoy this beautiful, riverside trail. The northern part of this trail is foot-use-only, but riders can continue their loop by using the Plantation Trail. During late fall and winter, enjoy a scenic view at the Liberty Dam Overlook located at the end of the trail Jessica The McKeldin Area is located in the southeastern corner of Carroll County, approximately 12 miles from the Baltimore Beltway. From the Baltimore Beltway (I-695), take I-70 west for nine miles. Exit north on Marriottsville Road and travel three miles. The park entrance will be on your right. From Columbia Pike (MD Route 29), go north to I-70. Go west on I-70 for four miles and follow directions above. |

Just checking discussion boards. Let us know if you are planning to go again. We live relatively up in that area. Sunday mornings are good time for Dash (black lab) and I to walk. Thanks - Miriam.
