Parking is limited and this seemed to be a popular destination on a nice weekend day. Alternate parking at the school on weekends, 1/4 mile (hilly) walk to the trail entrance.

The scenery was gorgeous with lovely views of the Savage River at various points along the trail. We stopped at a couple of overlooks too. Some of us were able to take our dogs down to the water for a quick dip.
